This furnace outage work at the Rio Tinto Kennecott Smelter included cutting holes in the carbon steel FS furnace duct for inspection, inspecting patch openings with new rolled CS plates, repair of existing plate liners in two electrostatic precipitator hoppers, and new alloy liner plates.
